We’re launching the Unmet Clinical Needs Challenge, a unique opportunity to pitch real-world MRI problems directly to researchers who can work toward developing solutions. Your insights and first hand experiences are essential in driving meaningful, practical advancements that can make a difference for patients and practitioners alike.
Here’s How to Participate:
- Submit Your MRI Challenge: Share a specific problem you face in clinical MRI that currently lacks an effective solution. This could be anything from imaging limitations to issues with workflow, accessibility, or diagnostic precision. (max 400 words). Submit before December 24 (23:59 CET)
- Pitch It Live: The winner will present live at the 2025 meeting (max 5 min), detailing the impact a solution could have and inspiring the research community to take action
- See Results: Researchers will take these challenges forward, developing innovative solutions to present at the 2026 meeting
- Award of max 750 euro for either ISMRM or ESMRMB awaits the winner

Submission criteria:
The applicant must be a clinician, MRI technician, MRI physicist, a PhD student, or a junior PostDoc with at least a Bachelor’s degree as of January 17, 2025.
Submissions (max 400 words) and presentations should include:
- Statement: Define the problem and the target population/group
- Measurable goal: Describe a specific and quantifiable goal for success
- Current vs. goal capabilities: Highlight the gap between existing capabilities and desired outcomes
- Must-have features: list essential features needed for solution
- Name your file Firstname_LastName_UnmetNeed.docx. Max size of the file: 10 MB
