Poster presentation guidelines
- The default format for posters is A0 portrait.
- The standard layout is: introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion and conclusion. Deviation from this template is allowed if it suits the subject.
- Use figures and tables to clarify results and provide references.
- Emphasize the clinical applications/impact of your work in your poster presentation.
- On-site, you will find a plan of the poster boards. Hang your poster on the assigned board, preferably during the morning registration timeslot. You can bring a tablet or other portable device to show additional supporting material.
Oral presentation guidelines
- Presentations are limited to 8 minutes, followed by 2 minutes of questions. Stick to the maximum presentation time.
- Be present 5-10 minutes before the start of the session to introduce yourself to the moderators.
- Emphasize the clinical applications/impact of your work in your presentation.
- Presentations should be in Microsoft Office Powerpoint format (‘.ppt’ or ‘.pptx’) with a slide size of 16:9 (widescreen).
Include a disclosure slide and email your presentation to abstracts@ismrm-benelux.org by January 8th (23:59 CET) as a compressed .zip file.
Power pitch guidelines
- Power pitches combine the maximum exposure of a presentation with the extended discussion time of a poster.
- First, there are plenary brief PowerPoint presentations (pitches) of 2 minutes, with no time for questions. The pitches will be held back-to-back, so this limit is strict.
- Later, during the poster sessions, there is the opportunity to present your work as a traditional poster, giving plenty of time for discussion.
- Besides the time of the pitch, follow all guidelines above for both your Powerpoint presentation and poster.
